FUZZY!!!!!

I go to my dad’s house (almost) every weekend. Every time I come, I get to see (my dad) and all my critters. (stuffed animals) I have 6 animals that stay here and 1 that travels with me EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! My traveling buddy is named Bunnybear. He is SUPER SOFT!!!!

Is he a bunny?

Is he a bear?

He’s BUNNYBEAR!!!!!

My next favorite stuffed animals, (Don’t tell the others) are the roos. There is a Mama Roo and a Joey Roo. Joey used to be attached to his Mama’s pouch, but he got detached. Now he travels around the room against his mother’s will.

This is Joey shining with freedom. -

This is Mama Roo and her lonely pouch. -

Aren’t they SO FUZZY!!!!!-

The next group of critters are the gorillas. They are pretty soft. Luckily baby gorilla is still connected unlike Joey.

Here they are. -

Next is the vampire. Yes I have a stuffed vampire. His name is Dracala. He game from the dollar tree in 2005.

He doesn’t suck blood which makes him really cute.-

Last but not least, Candy. She is a Valentine’s Day bear. A lady my Dad barley knew, gave it to him for me. It was very sweet. That’s one reason I named her Candy. The other two reasons are I like candy (who doesn’t) and candy reminds me of Valentines Day.

Candy-

I love my stuffed animals and I’m sure you will hear about them again.

The Country Way

On my trip to the track with my dad. We stopped in Fremont for breakfast. We came to this little restaurant called The Country Way. We decided to go there. It was fairly busy inside but we were seated in about 5 minutes. I looked at the menu and decided I wanted the pancakes with eggs and sausage. (bacon and ham were also choices) It was $7.15. ($5.15 on weekdays) My dad got Corned Beef Hash and eggs for $7.55.

While waiting for my food, we played a game with butter. We got one packet of butter and hit it back and forth to each other until I hit it to the lady’s foot sitting next to us. We were kind of embarrassed but got over i t when our food came. It looked so good. (For pics, see my last post here)

Unfortunately, it looked better than it tasted. My pancakes and eggs were really nothing special. In fact, they were kind of dry.The orange juice I ordered didn’t help. It tasted like orange Kool-Aid. However, the sausage was DELICIOUS! It was the bet part of my breakfast by far.

In conclusion, The Country Way is an alright place. With cool decor, and O.K. food. I would say it is a good place to go to, but don’t go out of your way to try it.

And They’re Off…

My dad (Aahz) and I went to the Golden Gate Fields Racetrack yesterday. It was ALOT of fun! It was my first time seeing a horse race. There were nine live race and tons of TV races. Aahz gave me $50 to bet with. Aahz started with $100 to bet. Since I’m less then 18, I couldn’t legally bet. Aahz gave our money to the lady in the window and she gave us 2 slips of paper. Two tiny slips of paper for $150!!!!!! I was SO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!! I then found out that the paper was like a credit card. It held all your money and when you make a bet, you put it in and it charges that paper. Then it gives you a new paper with your new balance on it. If you lose the card, tough luck to you!

We got to the track an hour and a half before the first race. That was enough time for Aahz to teach me the little he knew about horse racing. We also did some research the night before. I learned that a win bet is when you bet a horse is going to win. EX. I bet $5 that Horse 1 will win. A place bet is when you bet a horse is going to place or come in second. EX. I bet $5 that horse 2 will place(come in second place) There is also a show bet when, you guessed it, a horse will show or come in third place. EX. I bet $5 that horse 3 will show. There are SO many more types of bets but those are the three main ones. I learned all this from this site. I got to pick my bets and fill out the bet cards though which was cool.

Anyway, we went to the rail which means right by the horses which was really cool. It was so exciting watching the horses run. Man they were fast! They finished running in almost a minute! I won on a couple of races including 1 TV race. I left the track with $26.50, and a great memory. I loved this experience and would love to go again. Here is all the pictures including my breakfast.
