Asta la Vista California!

Today, I am leaving California to go to the glorious state of Washington!  I am going to visit my grandparents in Sequim. Sequim is a small town two hours north of Seattle. It is so pretty! The trees, lakes, and the town all together! I go there two weeks a year to visit. I am very excited to be there for two solid weeks this year! Usually it’s one week two times a year. I am going to have so much fun!

My grandparents have a huge house with beautiful property! They have fields with trees and swings to hang out. They also have a big lake with a fountain. Sometimes, they have baby quails and/or ducks running around! Deer come around to. There is so much wildlife!  They also have a little stream and a bridge. My favorite part of the out door property,  has trees, a stream, a bunch of plants, and is kind of deserted. The sun just barely shines in through the trees. The tree is very easy to climb and sit up in to write, listen to music, read, or relax. It’s great!

My grandma loves to sew. Her sewing room is covered in Mary Engelbreit stuff! It is really nice! We sew when I’m there to! I’ve made ponchos, soap bags, scarves, blankets, and soon to be, A DRESS! It is a great way to bond!

My grandpa loves the piano. He’s got a big black one in the living room. It is so shiny! I love listening to him play! This trip, I’m going to ask if he likes Backgammon.  He also likes taking walks. He is really cool.

I am really excited to see my grandma, my granpa, and their cats Luke and Stella. Keep reading for updates!

Old Times For The Fourth Time

We just got our old time photo taken again. This is the fourth year. We get it taken every July at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It is really fun to get all dressed up and take pictures together. On the left is our first picture.

This is our second picture. We brought in our first picture and asked them to come as close as possible to the first one. They came pretty close! We didn’t get a third picture because we messed up. We were not finacially able to get it but we remember that for future years!

This is our fourth and most recent picture. Two people there thought our idea was so cool! They triend do hard to make it perfect! They had us move over an inch because we weren’t covering the bar enough! They changed out the bottle on the table 3 times! They had to put two headbands on me beacuse they didn’t have the right one! Thank you so much Sarah and Carney for doing that for us! We had so much fun and hope you did to!

Tonight, is BREAKOUT!

Miley Cyrus’s new CD Breakout is so awesome! I have been listening to it all day non-stop! According to  her, this CD is very personal. It definatly is different. It’s like she is becoming Miley and leaving behing Hannah Montana. It is ver much her own and completely different then her first CD! I like it!

The first song is Breakout. It talks about breaking out of monotnous life of school, chores, parents and going Summer. Summer, the fun time where you let go and feel free. The song is very reppetitive.

The next song is 7 Things. One I really like.  It is her talking to her boyfriend telling him how she feels.  First she explains the 7 things she hates about him. then she gets happy and says the 7 things she likes abut him. It’s a good song with a beat that makes it good anytime!

The third song is called the Driveway. It’s about her breaking up with her boyfriend. She explains how they are different and aren’t good for eachother. It has a mellow beat. Good for going to sleep or to sing to when your feeling bad.

The next one is another of my favorites. Girls Just Want To Have Fun. A cover of Cindy Lauper’s fun upbeat song. She adds a touch of rock to the song fitting in nicely.

The next song has a beat you just tap your feet to. Full Circle. It’s about her trying to keep her boyfriend. She is trying to convince him to stay with her and won’t give up!

Fly on the Wall is the sixth song. It is about a guy wanting to always watch her and want to know what she’s doing with her friends.  He wants to know if she is flirting with aother guys to see if she can be honest.

Bottom of the Ocean is next. It is about her upset and hurt feelings after her boyfriend broke up with her. This is a slow song. Very mellow and sad.

The next song gets stuck in your head but has a good message! It’s called WAKE UP America! It’s about saving the Earth, preventing Global Warming, getting off your butt and doing something.

Four Walls is th next song. I don’t get this song. I can’t transelate the meaning. It is another slow song that I don’t happen to like.

Simple Song is next. This song it is not bad. It is about pushing off stress and seeing how simple life is. Her voice sounds alot different in this song.

The next song is Goodbye. It does not fit this CD well. To slow and way to mellow. I keep skipping it. It’s another song about her feeling sad about the breakup. She is taking about remembering all the details of thier relationship.

See You Again and old song is next, but it is the Rock Mafia Mix. I think it is cool. It is quicker and more up beat!

I like this CD. The only problem is that is has bad transitions. I reccomend getting it for a Miley Cyrus fan, a fan of both slow and fast music, or a pop fan.

Ped Egg Won’t Pop A Ballon! Or Will It?

I have decided to test a commercial to see if it’s true. My first victim: Ped Egg.  Ped Egg is a small hand held foot file that shaves off callouses and dead skin, making your feet baby bottom soft! It prevents mess by keeping your dead skin in it. It is easy to empty. Plus, it is so gentle, it won’t even pop a balloon! Well, I’m not so sure about this, so I’m going to test it.

Materials:

  • One Ped Egg
  • Two balloons

Procedure:

Step One:

Blow up both balloons. One small, one big.

Step Two:

Slowly rub the Ped Egg across them as if to your feet.

Conclusion:

Wow! I’m very surprised! Ped Egg was correct! I blew up one small balloon. and rubbed the Ped Egg  all over it for about two minutes, and it didn’t pop! I was so surprised! It did however leave marks on the balloon where it scratched off dirt I didn’t even know was there! Then for the bigger one. I rubbed the Ped Egg back and forth, across, diagonally, and all around, and it DIDN’T POP! I was so surprised! It is also so lightweight, that when I dropped the Ped Egg right on th balloon, it didn’t pop! Well, Ped Egg is a good product! I have also used it on my feet, and it makes them smoother! GO PED EGG!

A StuPINdous Night

On Friday night, I went to my very first official pin trading night. It was so exciting! I walked in with my wimpy little lanyard, looking at people spread out all over tables with their books of pins. That didn’t discourage me.

First I went into the Kid’s Corral. There is a board of pins where you can take one, and leave any one you want. There are also a bunch of kids ages four to twelve wandering trying to trade. It’s a really nice little place.

I made several trades at the tables. I listened. I talked. I learned. It was cool. Then I discovered the pin boards. There are four boards. You wait in line, and then randomly pick a board. Then you have thirty seconds to trade up to two pins. After the thirty seconds, you point to the pins you want, and the person takes them off, as you walk away (hopefully) happily.

The only rules are that you only have thirty seconds, can trade up to two pins, and can not touch the pins to look at the back.

We also went to Downtown Disney, where I got an awesome Jack Skellington pin bag, and traded a few more pins. We also bought some mystery sets. Mystery sets are a box that contains two pins out of a possible ten. They make good traders!

If you are interested in trading pins with me, go to my website, The Pin Traitor.

OH NO, IT’S THE FUZZ!!!!!!!!!

On Tuesday night,  Dad and I got stuck at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, because he had earlier lost his glasses in the ocean. He can’t see squat withount glasses! We had to wait for a good friend of our to come pick us up.

Although the world was blurry to him, we decided to play a couple midway games. The first was Roll A Ball. It is a racing game, where you roll a ball up a small ramp and it falls in a hole marked either slow, fast, or faster.  That then moves your figure (horse, car, etc.) foward, racing your opponent. Dad and I played and I beat him HAHAHA! I was proud of myself. I got a little blue dragon!

The next was Desperado. A mix between a ride and a game. You pay a small fee, and then walk into a room with about 18 small very low key mechanical bulls. There is a big screen in front of you and you shoot bad guys with your gun ,while your bull gently bucks. It is very fun, but he beat me even with bad eyesight. :(

We also played Flip It. A game where you launch a rubber chicken into a pot. There I got a little duckie that had a bunch of fuzz. He was a fuzzball. A ball of fuzz. Fuzz reminded me of cops. Cops reminded me of donuts. It also reminded me of bacon. Therefore, the duck is named Bacon!
