Live Blogging: Third Trp To Golden Gate Fields
12:10 Right now, we are in Rover driving to Golden Gate Fields. Golden Gate Fields is a track in Berkeley for HORSES!!!!!!!!! We are going to bet on the horsies to see which one runs fastest. We got a ticket in the mail that is worth anywhere from 2 dollars to 5,000 dollars. (I hope it is the 5,000) I bet we are going to get 5 or 10 dollars. Dad said if it is between 2 and 5,000 dollars(not 2 or 5,000) then we will split it. I hope to make atleast 40 dollars so I can pay off my laptop, but I would be OK with that! :p
The first post time is 12:46 and we still have quie a way to drive.Which means we probably won’t make first race in time to bid let alone bid and KNOW who we are bidding on. Be back soon!
4:47 So much for live blogging. We got there late and forgot a bunch of stuff so the live blogging idea was canceled. During the third race there was some injury, which I’ve never seen. They were all racing in a clump and it was getting towards the finish line, and BAM! A horse TRIPPED and fell! We were all surprised and then ANOTHER horse tripped OVER the first horse!!!!! I was SO amazed! None of the other horses fell or stopped, and we barely noticed who won. One jockey got up, but the other jockey and both horses were laying down still. They blocked it off so we couldn’t see and tried to get the bodies off the track quickly. So I don’t know what happened, but it might be on the news.
Overall it was pretty fun. I personally won NOTHING! Dad got a few wins, but overall we lost money. There were many suprises and a few really obvious things. Baze, the famous jockey ran in almost every race and was several lengths ahead in one! The worst part was the COLD air. But it was fun.
