Butterfly Diaries A teen on a quest to be a better writer

Reunite- A poem by Zaira Aahz

*I know, I know, this is not Chameleon Circuit lyrics…but I needed to post it. I wrote this for a school poetry project and kinda like it. What do you think?*

Reunite

Swirling through my head

are the thoughts of him

Probably more now

then when I saw him

I keep picturing

his so loving arms

Reaching out for me

when reuniting

Never again though

will his arms hold me

You can’t reunite

with a deceased boy

You can only picture

his soft angled nose

Imagine the look

he made when you smiled

Hear his unique laugh

the real and fake one

Feel his fingers cross

in and out through yours

But these thoughts are

the only sight of him

Communication

is limited now

Memories are the

only way to
